Are there any streaming radio websites that allow to choose exactly which songs are in your playlist?
I love Pandora and LastFM, but I’m frustrated by not getting to hear a particular song I like. Are there any free internet radio sites that allow you to pick and choose exactly whats in your playlist? Which internet radio site is the best?
radioblogclub.com is okay but I found that there were a lot of songs I wanted but they didn’t have and sometimes the ones I found didn’t work a while later.
I’m using projectplaylist.com right now and I’d say it’s better than radioblogclub.com but being a free site it has it’s issues too. You just have to type in what song you want, a list will come up of the different available ones they have from the different sites and you have to add one of them to your playlist. I usually hit play on 3 of them and whichever on starts playing first and keeps playing is the one I add to my playlist. Every so often you’ll add a bad one that you have to erase and find again but you get the hang of it shortly.
I’ve also used pandora and wasn’t that impressed. AND I’ve used music.yahoo.com which also comes with launchcast which you can make your own playlist without any problems and they have pretty much every song – BUT – it’s like 8-10 bucks a month… I do miss it sometimes though cause it was nice not having issues with my playlists.

Nope, that’s specifically against the law if the songs are copyright protected. According to statutes, you can set preferences that will narrow down the playlist to a certain degree, but you can’t choose specific songs. The courts have ruled that is the same as downloading the song, and you have to pay for the rights to do that.
