When Radio Stations give out tickets for a concert, Are they usually good seats?
I won tickets for my sister to go see Britney Spears this March by calling in a radio station and naming the 5 songs they played. She is planning to buy extra tickets because she doesnt know if the ones I won from the radio station are good seats. Does anyone know? Anyone with expirience?
I had a friend who won tix twice and took me (Dave Matthews Band and 311), we had really good seats at both shows.

I have recently won several concert tickets. One concert was row 5 floor seats, another was in the first section fairly close to the stage about 5 rows up, and most are about the same as that. The radio station gets to buy tickets before the general public does and they usually buy out some of the best seats so they will probably be much better than anything she can buy herself. I have always had great luck with won-tickets so I am guessing she will too!!

Complimentary tickets are usually the kind for "general admission." There are exemptions, however. If the tickets being given out are "sponsor tickets," then you might get good seats reserved for concert sponsors.
Call the radio station again and ask what kind of tickets did you win.

I worked for a radio network for 16 years. We did give out concert and event tickets to promote them and the radio station.
