I just caught the end of a song and I’d really like to know what it was. I’m listening to Cool 92.9 in the Mid Hudson Valley, but I think that this might be the nationwide show with Tom Kent. It was played at around 10:45. The song played immediately after it was Mrs. Robinson by Paul Simon. I only caught the last 30 seconds but it was mainly just drums and long sustained horns outlining the harmonic motion. The vocals were just doing something rhythmic that sounded great with it. Every few bars everything would drop out except for the vocals (multiple voices) and they would do a nice little harmony. I pray that somebody was listening and now reads this because I’d love to know what this song is. Unfortunately there were no lyrics to identify it by. Even if you didn’t hear it, feel free to posit a guess based on my description (I know it’s a long shot, but I’m that desparate…).
I did as you said (I doubted I would get to talk to him as it is a nationwide show) and did get a song name. Unfortunately the recording of this song that I have is very different from what I heard on the radio. You get best answer for at least giving some good advice.
No clue, sorry. Try calling the station to find out the name of it. It shouldn’t be hard for them to look back through their playlist considering the amount of detail you have.
What is that song that they just played on the radio? (oldies station, possibly Tom Kent Show)?

The oldies station I listen to is currently switching to russian language programming from 8pm to 4am because of the Vancouver 2010 olympics. They will return to normal of course when the olymics are said and done, but I am looking for something to listen to late at night, does anyone know a good oldies station?
The one I listen to really focuses on the baby – boomer era, so I am preferably looking for a station close to the same principal.
